As per my last article, in the on-going Mantra Series, I had mentioned that I will be introducing Mantras which we can use in everyday life and seek from the divine what we want in life. I will be giving the meaning of each Mantra in details. I believe until and unless we understand and then perform any remedy for any purpose in life, it will not give the desired results. This is because our conscious mind put doubt in everything we do, so it is very important to satisfy this ever questioning mind. And once we understand the meaning and then do the chanting of a Mantra, we know exactly what we are doing and for what purpose. Otherwise it will be just mechanical chanting, achieving nothing. Today we discuss Vaani Mantra.
In recent times, post pandemic, I have been receiving numerous inquiries regarding children sitting home for so long. They are not able to concentrate on studies, not able to retain what they study and so on and so forth. In my last article https://www.ratnajyotish.com/vidya-mantra/ I had detailed about a powerful Vidya mantra
Vaani mantra for Vaani dosh nivaran
Today I am giving detail of a very simple, yet very powerful Vaani mantra (Speech mantra) for anybody who is facing difficulty in communication, has stage fear or have any speech related disorder. This mantra is good for orators, marketing professionals or people engaged in communication related professions.
The Vaani mantra is:
Yaya vinaa jagat sarvam mookam-unvattvat-sada, yaa devi vaagadhishthaatri tasyai vanyai namo namah
यया विना जगद्सर्वम मूकमुन्वत्त्वत सदा, या देवी वागधिष्ठात्री तस्यै वाण्यै नमो नमः ।।
Meaning of the Vaani mantra:
Yayaa vinaa – without which
Jagat sarvam – entire world
Mookam – speechless or dumb
Unmattvat sada – always like mad, insane, confused
Yaa devi – that goddess
Vaagadhishthaatri – owner of speech faculty (vaak), presiding deity
tasyai vanyai – for her speech form (goddess of vani)
namo namah – salutations
In totality, the meaning of Vaani mantra, thus is: without which this entire world would be dumb, insane and without the ability to speak, much salutations to that goddess Vaani who presides over the speech (act of speaking)
The meaning of – mukam-unmatt-vat-sada, is speechless and dumb like crazy always. Imagine a world without speech! In a sane world, speech is all around us, in schools, college, work, entertainment…..everywhere, its sound, communication, exchange of ideas, feelings. If knowledge gone form world, if speech gone from body…. What is left…….. chaos!! So speech becomes the binding force to keep the human sanity. And we salute that presiding deity of speech – the goddess Vaani devi.
Constant chanting of Vaani mantra gives power to speech. Chanting this Vaani mantra with full faith and devotion is also helpful for different kinds of speech disability (with other medical, non-medial aids/treatments)
